Goldsmith Peter Lunn made a mount for a childhood St Christopher medallion which will be presented as a surprise 50th birthday present.
Made from old gold, this film shows the melting and shaping of the metal which was then turned on the lathe. A laurel pattern was hand carved in to the surround by Peter and the St Christopher was mounted and secured with a technique known as “rub over”.
